1.1.0 (36–37) · August 14, 2026 · on the App Store since August 15
Before Discord is connected, the Together screen shows a live number: how many times people meditated with Ding over the last seven days.
The Amber color theme is now golden yellow — it used to lean green.
A preset named like a built-in one (“Morning”, “Breathing”, “Two minutes”) no longer shows up translated — you see exactly the name you typed.
The “HRV breathing” background sound is now called “Breathing”.
The Acknowledgements screen (Settings → About) lists the authors of all bell recordings — before, only two were there.
The bell that arrives as a notification (when the app has been unloaded from memory mid-session) rings with the chosen sound again — in build 35 it played the system sound.
“Share the app” with the interface in Russian now shares the Russian app page (it always sent the English one before).

Swipe to change time
You can change the session time right on the ready screen: slide your finger up or down — up for longer, down for shorter, one-minute steps. The preset itself doesn't change; above the digits you see “preset: 20:00”. A tap still starts the timer.
Until you've used the gesture, a hint shows above the digits: “Slide up or down to change the time”; it goes away after the first swipe or after three showings.
Sound update
Three new bells: “Medium bowl”, “Large bowl” and “Gong” — real recordings. They live where the other sounds do.
The “Blip” sound is gone; presets that used it now ring with the “Woodblock”.
The gong's loudness is matched with the other bells; the “Woodblock” no longer clips.
The bells were remastered: “Ding”, “Tingsha”, “Sakya”, “Medium bowl” and “Large bowl” sound softer and ring longer — the bowls and “Sakya” sustain up to 45 seconds, “Ding” and “Tingsha” no longer cut off midway.
The app got about 6 MB lighter — sounds are stored compressed, with no loss of quality.
Misc
An avatar changed in Discord updates for everyone in “Now” and in circle rosters within a day (this works on the server, no app update needed).
Settings → About now has “Rate in the App Store” — it opens the review form. The app itself never asks for a rating and shows no popups about it.
The pause between strikes within one bell is 4 seconds instead of 3: long rings no longer pile onto each other.
Settings → About now has “Acknowledgements” — the authors of the recordings the bells are made from.

Import/export your practice to a file: the Practice menu (three dots) → “Export practice” / “Import practice”.
Bring your Insight Timer history as a file: Practice menu → “Import practice” — the history becomes real entries, and the streak and totals count them as your own.
Onboarding: the highlighted element breathes with light and is tappable as a whole; the tips say “tap”.
Days from past years show the year next to the date.
The Discord community link leads to a greeting in the app's language.
The Privacy Policy link opens the page in the app's language; the policy text now covers both iPhone and Android.
The Practice list shows your whole history, not just the last month.
The “breathing” background sound was redone: the tone is calmer and quieter, no harsh first peak, and the inhale and exhale chimes are exactly where they belong.

The preset list scrolls again when there are more than six; long-press reordering kicks in right away.
The app needs iOS 18 or newer.
Mac: screens no longer run into the window edges; the volume readout and the Apple Health section, which don't work there, were removed.
1.0.1 (29) · July 29, 2026
A preset can be shared as a link: “Share preset” at the bottom of the editor — the whole preset travels in the link; the recipient gets a preview and “Add”.
“Share in Discord format” — a short line like “Morning · 30:00” instead of a long address.
Background sounds for the session: “HRV breathing”, “Noise” or “Shruti” in the preset editor — own volume, ducking under the bells, “Fades after”. Off by default.

Apple Watch: the bells were reworked — haptics are real and right on time with the screen off, and long sessions no longer hit the one-hour limit.
The watch shows the build version under the preset list.

Sitting on: stayed after the final bell — a counter ticks on the completion screen, and a tap adds it to the session.
Apple Watch: haptics with the screen off via a backup notification (it can run 10–20 seconds late).

Apple Watch: the finish haptic arrives with the screen off too, and is easier to feel.
1.0.1 (25) · July 18, 2026
The Apple Watch app: a standalone timer on the wrist; presets, the theme and the active-preset mark sync over, and sessions land in statistics, Together and co-practice.
A “First preset” complication for the watch face — starts the preset with one tap.
Built-in presets pick up a change of the app language.
The rhythm of double and triple bells depends on the sound: long rings get more room.
Co-practice shows in “Now” from the moment it starts, not after it ends.

A 2×1 streak widget for the lock screen.

The “Send diagnostics” switch is off by default.
“Share the app” in a circle roster where it's just you now works.

An “Open the timer on launch” switch: the app starts straight into the timer, with a preset picked by the time of day. Off by default.
The ready screen shows the phone's current volume under the ring; at zero — a crossed-out speaker.
⟲ on pause returns to the same preset's ready screen instead of starting the countdown right away.
A paired preset shows a link glyph on the ready screen — so you don't start someone else's practice and credit it to the partner.
0.4 (20) · July 6, 2026
The pause gesture: a tap on the running timer shows the ‖ button, and the pause happens there; accidental touches don't stop the session.
Co-practice: an invitation from the preset's settings, one person starts the timer, the session counts for both; the feed shows one entry with two names.
A “thanks” reaches its addressee: your own entry in “Earlier” gets a “♥ Name” line.
Time and sound are picked right in the editor — they unfold under the row, no separate screens.
A “Delete my data” button at the bottom of the profile: it erases the server record; statistics on the device stay.
Sessions finished offline reach the server on their own once the connection returns — even if the app is closed.
Privacy policy: links in Settings and on the Discord connect screen.

Extra bells during the session: one-time and repeating, each with its own time and strike count.
“Before start” — a quiet countdown pause before the session begins.
A practice reminder — a note on the timer screen before you start.
Color choice in Settings: terracotta, blue, periwinkle.
By default the timer shows the remaining time; it can be switched to counting from zero.

The first build handed to testers: practices, the timer, statistics, Together, iCloud sync, Live Activity.
Android
Ding for Android is in Google Play closed testing — how to join. The store version is 1.0.0; from here only the build number changes.
1.0.0 (11) · August 14, 2026
The Privacy Policy link opens in the browser. The app used to intercept it itself and show a “Couldn't open the preset” error.
Settings got a “Health Connect” section: when it's on, finished meditations are written to Health Connect as mindfulness minutes. The data stays on the device. Phones without Health Connect don't show the section.
On the Together screen, the names under the avatars in “Now” show in full and centered, and the row spans the whole width — it used to squeeze left and clip long names.
Before Discord is connected, the Together screen shows a live number: how many times people meditated with Ding over the last seven days.
The Amber color theme is now golden yellow — it used to lean green.
The “HRV breathing” background sound is now called “Breathing”.

For long bells the pause between strikes is now 4 seconds (it was 2.2 for all): the bowls and the gong no longer pile onto each other. The “Woodblock” keeps its own short pause.
The backup notification bell (it fires when the phone didn't let the app ring the normal way) is fixed: after the previous sound update it could ring with the wrong sound or stay silent.
Settings → About now has “Acknowledgements” — the authors of the recordings the bells are made from.
Together
In Together the name in the header is bigger, and the avatar and community icons got a hairline outline — dark images no longer merge with the black background (as on iPhone).
An avatar changed in Discord updates for everyone in “Now” and in circle rosters within a day (this works on the server, no app update needed).
The profile now shows “Join the Ding community” at the bottom — visible to everyone not in it yet, even if you already have other communities (as on iPhone).
Settings
The “Help” and “About” sections are laid out as separate buttons — the rows used to merge into one block.
The About section got “Rate on Google Play” (it opens the app's page in Play; the app itself never asks for a rating and shows no popups) and “Share the app” (it sends a link to Ding's page, as on iPhone).
The app version now sits as a caption under the buttons, not as a row among them (as on iPhone).
The Privacy Policy link opens the page in the app's language; the policy text now covers both Android and iPhone.
Screens that open on top of Settings and Together (the profile, a circle roster, acknowledgements) no longer drop the screen underneath: it stays put while the new one slides in from the right.
The app version is now 1.0.0 (it was 0.4): the app is in the store; from here only the build number changes.

Import/export your practice to a file: the Practice menu (three dots) → “Export practice” / “Import practice” — the only way to keep your statistics when changing phones.
Bring your Insight Timer history with the same “Import practice” item: the history becomes real entries, and the streak and totals count them as your own.
“Delete imported” removes everything that came from files; what you sat in Ding itself stays.
The Practice list shows the whole history; past years show the year next to the date.
Onboarding: the highlighted element breathes with light and is tappable as a whole; the tips say “tap”.
The Discord link leads to a greeting in the app's language.
Xiaomi/Redmi: MIUI dark mode no longer makes the timer translucent.

Bring your practice from another timer with a personal link: the streak, total time and session count add to your current ones.
The app installs on Android 8.0 and newer — it used to need Android 10.
The “breathing” background sound was redone: the tone is calmer and quieter, no harsh first peak, and the inhale and exhale chimes are exactly where they belong.
On the Practice screen the “Totals” rows go Streak · Time · Sessions.
0.3 (6) · July 30, 2026
The volume of bells and background sounds is shared with media: the rocker controls exactly that, and you can take it to zero and sit in silence.
Background sounds for the session: “HRV breathing”, “Noise” or “Shruti” in the preset settings — own volume, ducking under the bells, “Fades after”. Off by default.
A preset can be shared as a link: “Share preset” in the editor; the recipient gets a preview and “Add”; a separate row — “Share in Discord format”.
The preset list ends above the bottom icon row; the last card dissolves into black.
Onboarding tips with a long list: the first card scrolls itself into view.

Sitting on: stayed after the final bell — a counter ticks on the completion screen, and a tap adds it to the session.
A “Delete my data” button in the profile: it erases the server record and disconnects Discord; statistics on the device stay.

Built-in presets and reminders translate when the app language changes.
The app language can be chosen separately from the phone's (Android 13+).
The phone volume on the ready screen changes exactly the bell volume.
The app's own icon — Ding's ring mark.
Onboarding: “Skip” on the first screen, tips closer to the point, the final step “That's it!”.
The selected-preset mark gently “blooms” on return from the timer.
The screen is always portrait; small texts brought in line with iPhone.
